The Gionee M5 Plus, now available in India, pairs a massive battery with a sleek body.

Gionee expanded its Marathon Series by adding the new M5 Plus, a power-packed smartphone with a 5020mAh battery and smart power consumption system, housed in an ultra slim full metal body.


Offering both 4G and VoLTE SIM, the M5 Plus is also the first Gionee phone in India to carry the new logo. Despite the large battery the M5 Plus has an ultra slim full metal body and a centrally placed camera. The phone has 6-inch full HD (1920x1080) AMOLED curved display with a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front cam. It packs a 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6753 octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.


On the launch of the device in India, Arvind R Vohra, Country CEO & MD, Gionee India said, “The device is a perfect reflection of a beautifully crafted powerhouse. Our motto with the Marathon series remains the same with each device to make people’s life stress free with no battery issues bothering them.”


It’s powered by a 5020mAh battery and runs Amigo 3.1 UI, based on Android 5.1. It also has a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, and dual SIM support. The phone will be available in Champagne Gold and Polar Gold colour variants, for Rs 26,999, across retail outlets in India, as well as online exclusively through Flipkart.
